Blank Canvas Cardi
This pattern, or recipe more like, is for a basic baby/toddler sized crochet cardi in dc’s. It’s kind of like a blank canvas for you to ‘paint’ and customise with your own choice of colours, textures, embellishments, edgings, ribbing, buttons, zipper or whatever takes your fancy!
For my prototype pictured here, I used a cotton/linen mix DK weight yarn and added ruffles, crab stitch and some surface slip stitching for a girly, summery look. But if you swap ruffles for ribbing and surface crochet for stripes, you will get a more boyish cardigan. The idea is you pick the details yourself, to make it truly your own creation - or just leave as is for a versatile gender neutral look.
How will you personalise the Blank Canvas Cardi?
