Neighbo(u)rhood Sheep Society 2018
Slowly unfurling into a new day, I love those moments between the darkness of night and the arrival of the soft morning light - a quiet time - just before the sounds of the day emerge in their full glory …
With my toes snuggled into cosy hand-knit socks and my coffee cup in hand I gradually make my way into the day ahead.
These socks are the perfect cold weather companion, whether you choose to snuggle into bed with them or step out into the big wide world, your feet will be toasty and warm.
A beautiful mixture of cables and textures makes these interesting to knit without being overly complicated. Working from the toe up means you can make the most of your 100g skein too!
Materials
Ginger’s Hand Dyed Pin Up Sport (sport; 80% Merino, 20% Nylon, 300m/328yd per 100g skein)
Bourbon and Water: 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2) x 100g skein
The yardage you need will depend on the size you choose and the length of the foot. It is recommended that you have 2 skeins for the larger sizes, although you could knit socks from 100g, they would just be shorter in the leg than the sample shown. To make the most of your yardage I recommend dividing the skein in half and then working until you reach the desired leg length or you run out of yarn.
