This is easy to make, and can be made in a variety of yarns really. Just knit adding the stitches till it is the size you want, then start the decrease.

You can also add a hood, by starting another blanket, quitting when it is a ‘triangle’ the size you want. Then just sew onto a corner of the blanket.
