This is a great pattern for stash busting and is quite addictive.
You could use any weight of yarn you wanted - I just happened to have heaps of sock yarn.

Each Hexagon is knitted in the round so there isn’t any sewing up, just a few ends to darn in.

I have used DPNs to knit the hexagons but if you want to use magic loop, that works well too.
