Beaded Thistle Shawl
Kits now available HERE!
This wisp of a shawl is crocheted top down, in a pattern stitch that reminds me of the Scottish thistle. Each thistle is embellished with a #6 seed bead in the Aurora Borealis finish, and beads accent the edging as well. Perfect for a holiday party, an evening out, or as a gift for a treasured friend.
Beads were crocheted on as the shawl was worked to avoid the awfulness of trying to pre-string beads on Mohair yarn. There is a photo tutorial of this technique on page 2.
Requires approximately 1.5 ounces of #6 seed beads, more if you want to add beads to the neck edge.
