If you live anywhere that there is a chill in the air, you need to learn the technique of double knitting and these mitts are the perfect project to do so.
Double knitting results in a 2 layer fabric that eliminates the problem of “floats” that are too tight or too loose.
This pattern requires 1 full skein of a dk weight main colour and a second (approximately 50-65g) contrasting colour.
The mitts can be worked up in one of 3 sizes. Length is adjusted for your personal size and I find a size small able to suit most ladies hands where the large definitly fit larger men hands.
Once you have the rhythm these mitts can be worked up easily in a couple of days.
The second mitt is mirror image. Both are reversible to show the contrasting colour (see white mitt in photo)
