Basket Weave Vest
The first time I saw a ball of Fog colored Mission Falls 1824 Cotton I was struck by the texture of the yarn and its cool sage color. It’s the perfect yarn for spring afternoons and cool summer evenings. Solid enough to provide a little warmth; cotton enough to not be hot.
This vest is knit in one piece from the bottom up to the
armholes. Shaping involves only a few short rows at the
shoulders, keeping the lines clean, construction simple, and
seams to a minimum. If you are new to short rows, this vest
offers a chance to try out short row shaping in a relatively
simple part of the project.
