Basic Watch Cap
Pattern Description from Cast On, November 2009-January 2010: “Picture a sailor standing watch, wrapped against a frigid wind: heavy pea jacket, close-fitting wool cap. The traditional watch cap was knitted in navy blue wool, but knitters have adapted the tradition in countless ways. A watch cap typically fits closely to the head and over the ears. It often features a fold-up brim. Knitters take up watch caps for quick, fun projects. In their basic form, watch caps are simple and satisfying for beginning knitters. More advanced knitters can incorporate a variety of design strategies to challenge themselves.”
