Basic Tank
Use size 10 crochet thread and double crochet stitches to create this basic tank top. Then customize it any way you like: Make it a V-neck or a scoop neck! Add buttons! Lengthen the straps! We’ll walk you through ways to make this tank the project you’ll wear all summer long.
Difficulty Easy
Finished Size 34 1/4 (38 1/2, 42 3/4, 47, 51 1/2, 55 3/4)“ bust circumference. Sample shown measures 37”, modeled with 4” positive ease.
Yarn Aunt Lydia’s Crochet Thread Classic 10 (distributed by Coats and Clark) (100% mercerized cotton; 350 yd (320 m); ): #0210 antique white (or desired color), 3 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6) balls.
Hook Size B/1 (2.25 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions Yarn needle.
Gauge 14 dc and 8 rows = 4” in patt.

NOTES
- Tanks are worked in separate pieces from the bottom up, then seamed at shoulders and sides.
- Pattern is written for three versions of the front or back, which can be combined to create the desired garment. Button-down tank can be worked with buttons in front or in back.
