PATTERN NOTES
This sweater is worked from the top down, first
back and forth in pieces. The back is worked first.
The front stitches are picked up from the CO-edge
of the back piece. The shoulders are shaped with
German short rows for the back and both fronts.
They are joined at the underarms to be worked in
the round to the hem. The sleeve stitches are
picked up around the arm opening.
For all ribbed sections, I used the tubular bind-off
method, which creates a seamless finish while
maintaining the natural flow of the ribbing. Other
bind-off techniques can also be used if the
method offers sufficient elasticity.
The sample 1 knitted with two strands of sport
weight yarn held together, but it can also be
worked with a single strand of worsted weight
yarn, provided the gauge is correct. The loose,
low-gauge fabric gives to the sweater a
voluminous, soft, and relaxed feel.

パターンノート
このセーターはトップダウンで編む. 最初に後ろ身頃最
初に背中部分を編み, 次に前身頃の目を肩の作り目から
拾い目して編みだす. 肩は、前後身頃で German Short
Rows を使用する.
その後、脇下で前後身頃をつなげてから輪編みで裾まで
編む. 裾はフリルかリブかを選ぶことができる.
袖は、腕回りの開口部から目を拾って編む. 袖のデザイ
ンはクロップ, バルーン, ロングから選ぶことができる.
リブ編みのすべての部分には、tubular bind-off を使用
した. この方法は、リブ編みの自然な流れを保ちなが
ら、シームレスな仕上がりになる. 他のバインドオフ方
法でも, 十分な伸縮性がある場合には使用可能.
サンプル1では, Sport weight (合太) の糸を2本取りで編
んでいるが, ゲージが合っていれば, 1本取りの Worsted
weight (並太) の糸, または DK (並太) とモヘア (レース)
の引き揃えなどを使用することも可能. ゆったりとした
ローゲージの生地が、このセーターにボリューム感, 柔
らかさ, リラックスした雰囲気になる.
