Bamboo Cowl
I’ve been thinking a lot about gratitude recently and as part of that I’m starting a new Gratitude Program. I’m offering a free pattern of your choice for every $25 spent on my Ravelry patterns. Past purchases on Ravelry definitely apply! I wrote a blog post explaining the program here. Happy knitting!

ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Bamboo Cowl features basic ribbing and Lifted-Over Knot Stitches to evoke the natural lines and segments of stalks of bamboo. The Bamboo Cowl is offered in two sizes – snug around the neck for extra warmth in chilly weather or long for a draped-scarf feel perfect for showing off your knits as the temperature rises. Textured repeat written and charted.
As I learned more about bamboo while researching ways to reduce my carbon footprint, I was inspired to highlight this amazing plant and share what I’ve learned. Bamboo is fascinating. It is the fastest growing plant on earth – growing as much as the height of a small child in a 24-hour period. It is a sustainable and viable replacement for wood in many cases. Plus, due to its rapid growth, bamboo removes more carbon dioxide and releases more oxygen than trees by far.
