I visited Texas for the first time last April. I was lucky enough to spend time in the Dallas area and Austin during my week long adventure. As a person who has spent their life bouncing between Northern Utah, the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest, its probably no surprise that the landscape in Texas was new territory for me. And one of the highlights of my trip was the flora, particularly the beautiful cacti everywhere! In this cowl, I wanted to design something that celebrated the unique landscape and native plants of the Hill Country region.

• US 7 / 4.5 mm 24” / 60 cm circular needles.
  • 2 pairs, extra needed for 3 needle bind off (optional)

C1: 1 skein of Slub Sock by Suburban Stitcher (90% SW Merino, 10% Nylon, 438 yds / 400 m – 100 g), colorway Woodsy.
C2: 1 skein of Suri Silk by Suburban Stitcher (74% Baby Suri Alpaca, 26% Silk, 328 yds / 300 m – 50 g), colorway Woodsy.

Or approx.
C1: 400 yds / 366 m of fingering or sport-weight yarn or any yarn you obtain gauge with.
C2: 150 yds / 137 m of lace-weight yarn or any yarn you obtain gauge with.
