Baker’s Hat
Susan B. Anderson

Sizes: Baby (child, adult medium, adult large)

Finished measurements: 13 (16, 19, 21) inch (33 40.5, 48, 53cm) circumference
The sample in the photos fits my son’s 23-inch (58cm) head circumference in the adult-large size. The hat has a lot of stretch and should be worn with 1-3 inches (2.5-7.5cm) of negative ease. For my 22-inch (59cm) circumference head I would make the adult medium size.

Yarn: Barrett Wool Co. Home Fingering Weight (370 yards/338 meters per 100 grams); 1 skein. The sample is knit in the Bluff colorway.

Needles: US size 2 (3mm) sixteen-inch (40cm) circular and double-pointed needles or size to obtain gauge
Optional Note: For a slouchier fit go up one needle size for the body of the hat.

Gauge: 7.5 stitches and 10 rows per inch (2.54cm) in stockinette stitch
