THE STORY
After relocating to Oregon I found myself a little lacking in the inspiration department until I stumbled upon this yarn. I knew I had to make something warm and cozy to get me back on track… it worked! And 3 years later, here it is!

BACK ON TRACK 2-PANEL VERSION
This lovely 2-panel version is based on the traditional triangular shaped shawl. Generous in size, it uses just one skein of Silky Victoria to create a luxurious shawl to wrap you up in warmth!

MATERIALS

• Blue Moon Fiber Arts Silky Victoria (sport weight; 85% Polworth wool, 15% silk; approx. 695 yds/635 m per skein), 1 skein: ‘Mica’

OR

• 695 yds / 635 m of sport weight yarn
• US 8 (5 mm) 40” / 100 cm circular needle (or desired length for comfort; see notes)
• Stitch markers (2)
• Row counter (optional)
• Tapestry needle

FINISHED SIZE
64” / 162.5 cm wingspan (at neckline edge), and 30” / 76 cm deep (at the center spine)

PROJECT GAUGE
16 sts and 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm over stockinette stitch worked flat, taken after blocking

NOTES

• This shawl is worked flat from the center-top down and out.
• Written instructions are provided for the entirety of the Shawl.
• Adjust needle size as necessary to match gauge.
• On all WS rows where not specifically noted, slip markers as encountered.
• This shawl was knit on a 40” / 100 cm circular needle. However, due to the small number of stitches at the cast on, and the large number of stitches at the bind off, you can substitute shorter needles as you start the shawl, and increase the length as you go, to suit your level of comfort. Although gauge is not critical for this project, a looser gauge than noted will result in the use of more yardage.

The originally designed, extra large, 4-panel shawl, that can be wrapped like a poncho to keep you warm even on the coolest day!
