Baby's First BFF, Baby Blanket
I thought it would be fun to create a teddy bear using different kinds of stitches. The idea swirled around in my head for months. I worked on it and ripped it out, I worked on it and ripped it out. Finally, it all came together. Despite all the ripping out, I never got frustrated. I just wanted Baby’s first teddy bear to be perfect. It was fun to see all the different stitches come together to draw a picture. I hope you enjoy Baby’s First BFF.
For the blanket you work the center teddy bear picture first, then pick up stitches all the way around to work the border. A Provisional Cast On is used, so that those edge stitches are live and you don’t have to pick them up. If you do not want to do a Provisional Cast On then use a Cable Cast On, because this cast on will allow you to see the stitches easier for the pick up. I added a double YO at the neck so you can tie a ribbon around his neck.
