Baby Steps
From the description: A beginner knitter wouldn’t choose a laceweight shawl for a first project. Why start sock-knitting by working grown-up socks on tiny needles? Think small. This very basic recipe strips socks down to their barest essentials: a bit of ribbin, a short leg, a simple turned heel and a toe that you can seam or graft.
Tension: Not critical; usually socks are knitted firmly for long wear, but a toddler needs a softer fabric (and will grow out of them before long anyway).
