Austrian Sampler Stole
The patterns for this stole have been taken from the three-volume stitch dictionary of Austrian stitches, Bauerliches Stricken, by Lisl Fanderl, published by Rosemheimer.
The stole is worked in two pieces, from each end, and then grafted. The length of the stole is easily altered.
A wrap worked in a luxurious yarn is such a treat, and makes an elegant addition to any outfit. This design by Elizabeth Lovick uses Eden Cottage Yarns’ Askham 4ply, which blends baby alpaca and silk for a light yet warm fabric with a subtle gleam. “The patterns for this stole have been taken from the three volume stitch dictionary of Austrian stitches, Bäuerliches Stricken, by Lisl Fanderl, published by Rosenheimer,” says Elizabeth.
