Aurora Shawl
Through the end of December, get $4 (66%) off this pattern with coupon code AURORA4 entered on the checkout page at Lucky Violet Color Co.
I designed this shawl with our “Wren” yarn base in mind, because I wanted a piece that would show off the lovely, lofty fibers of this beautiful silk and kid mohair yarn. This is a rectangular shawl that gathers in at the arms for a nice, cuddly shawl.
Wren is a fluffy sport weight yarn with a beautiful, built-in “halo” that lends itself well to knitting on larger needles, creating a warm yet lightweight shawl. (Personally, I think knitting with Wren feels a bit like petting a kitten because the fibers are so silky and soft.)
I envisioned the shawl knit in a pale, refreshing color and chose our “Green Opal” as the perfect colorway for what I had in mind. Some other beautiful choices for this shawl would be Pink Opal, Silver Tips, Deep Orchid, Wisteria, or Ice Sculpture … to name a few!
This is an easy to knit shawl that may be knit in a single color or a 3-color fade palette -- instructions are included for both.
