Yarn: The beanie is knitted with 2 threads held together.
1st thread: “Cashmere Classic”, Cardiff Cashmere (112 m pr 25 g).
2. thread: “Tilia”, Filcolana (210 m pr 25 g) or “Prime”, Cardiff Cashmere (300 m pr 25 g).
Amount: The following amount is used for each of the 2 threads.
1st thread: 50 g in all sizes.
2. thread: 25 g in all sizes.
Method: This beanie is worked in the round top-down in Stockinette Stitch. First, the crown of the beanie is shaped by a series of increases worked according to a chart, and then continued in the round in Stockinette Stitch. When reaching the hem, the work is turned so that the WS of the beanie becomes the new RS – this is done using the method German Short Rows. The hem is then worked in the round in Stockinette Stitch, and finally folded and closed using the 3-needle bind-off method to make it double layered.
