This classic fair isle V-neck vest is named after the fictional Alaskan borough in Northern Exposure where a mixture of personalities coexist happily – just like how the many motifs mix in this design. The Arrowhead County vest uses 6 shades of natural Shetland wool plus indigo blue. Each band is a different motif chosen from Traditional Fair Isle Knitting by Sheila McGregor. The vest is knit in the round, using steeks – extra stitches that you will cut into to create openings for the arms and neck.
