Armenian Lace Doily
The Armenian Lace Doily is on the Cover of this issue.
“Here is a beautiful doily worked in crochet to resemble Armenian Needle Lace, which is done with only a sewing needle and thread and a single knot, or stitch. It requires 975yds of #30 mercerized crochet thread; use a size 12 steel crochet hook. This makes a piece about 28 inches in diameter.
Stitches requried, in USA terms:
ch (chain)
sl st (slip stitch)
dc (double crochet)
p (picot)
lp (loop)
tr (treble)
rnd (round)
hdc (half double crochet)
dtr (double treble)
errata - it appears that the picots were left off the instructions for the last rnd.
