Arlington
Arlington was my project during my move into downtown Reno near Arlington Boulevard. The shawl is knit top down and uses some intarsia techniques to alternate striping in the body. Some short rows are added within the stripes to give the project a slight asymmetrical look before being finished by a garter border.
MATERIALS:
3 Skeins of any fingering or sock yarn
• Color A: Black Trillium Fibres: Merlion Sock – Hedwig - 130 yards
• Color B: Three Fates Yarn: Helios – Merlin - 240 yards
• Color C: Three Fates Yarn: Helios – Uther - 240 yards
US 3: 47” circular needles
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle
GAUGE AND MEASUREMENTS:
About 18 rows and 12 sts = 2”
64” in the wingspan, and 20” from cast on to lowest tip.
PATTERN NOTES: The project can be adjusted for size easily. What is shown in the instructions is the sample made. As a result, the number of stitches wasn’t necessary to display
