Aquila
Aquila is a made to measure/measure along crochet-Tunisian crochet hybrid pattern in US terms.
As this is a measure-along you can technically use whatever yarn weight and hook size you choose. This is a great pattern for stash busting and, as it is difficult to fully estimate the yardage you’ll need, I’d recommend using a variety of colours in case you run out of one particular yarn.
Aquila is starts with making 6 separate panels in Tunisian crochet which are then joined together and completed with regular crochet techniques.
Aquila is a 58 page full colour document featuring instructions, charts, links to video tutorials and photos to guide you through the process of making your top. There is also a link to a bare bones/ printer friendly document.
If you like the look of Aquila but don’t want to try Tunisian crochet there is an all-crochet version of the pattern called Altair.
Buy Aquila and Altair together for £10.50.
