Anu's Christmas Gloves
by Nancy Bush
Additional Yarn Information One skein (100 g) each of #3001 sheep’s white and #3730 dark gray, and a small amount of contrasting waste yarn.
From Nancy Bush’s Pattern Introduction “These fanciful gloves were inspired by a pair my dear friend, Anu Kaljurand, received from her parents for Christmas when she was studying in Utah. They are a fine example of the wonderful surprises found in Estonian knitting. The top of the hand is fun and interesting--turn the hand over and the shock of stripes will make you smile! They begin with a double-start cast-on, followed right away by a two-color vikkel braid. After a bit more knitting, another vikkel braid is worked.”
