Antares
This crescent shaped shawl is inspired by a late afternoon purple sky on a fall evening. The sun goes down and projects the shadows of bare branches and trees onto the ground. As it is getting darker outside there is still this vibrant and colorful sky left with the days last peeks of light. The design reflects the perfect harmony between light and darkness of this quiet moment.
Antares is knitted from the center, spreading to all sides through increases at the beginning and end of every row. The smaller body part in half linen stich builds the base for the true highlight of the shawl: The big lace border knitted in a 23 stich lace repeat.
Beading option is provided. Pattern includes written and charted instructions for lace border.
Intermediate level.
