A casual cardigan with a horizontally cabled yoke, Amna has lots of options and is sure to become a wardrobe staple. The cardigan can be worked with either short or long sleeves, and features two front closure options: a more open closure with three buttons on the yoke, or a zipped version allowing for full closure. Short row shaping is used to form the horizontally cabled yoke, stitches are then picked up around the bottom of the yoke. The remainder of the cardigan is worked from the top down; seamless construction keeps finishing to a minimum. DK weight yarn creates a sweater that is warm and cozy without being overly heavy; perfect for autumn, early spring, or mild winter days. Skills required beyond knit and purl include: increasing, decreasing, short rows, ability to read basic charted cable patterns.

Sizing: Finished bust measures 28 (30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50, 52, 54, 56)”. Positive ease of 1-2” is recommended if you plan on button closures. Samples shown are modeled with 1” positive ease (blue cardigan) and 2” negative ease (purple cardigan)

For short sleeved cardigan: 675 (700, 775, 825, 875, 925, 975, 1025, 1075, 1125, 1175, 1225, 1275, 1350, 1400) yards DK weight yarn
For long sleeved cardigan: 850 (925, 1000, 1050, 1125, 1150, 1250, 1300, 1350, 1400, 1450, 1550, 1575, 1650, 1725) yards DK weight yarn

Size 5 US (3.75mm) needles, one set of double pointed needles and one circular (32” or longer cable recommended)
