Ammonite Daisy Toppie
It uses US terminology and is worked in rounds.
Skill level - Intermediate
Please note: - yarn quantities provided are for my toppie. I made a size large with widened sleeves and cuffs added. I used 6 balls - DK 100g/300m (I used very little of the last ball).
Sizing:
- The pattern provides adult sizes small to 3XL, however the squares are very easy to adapt for larger sizes or for a looser or tighter fitting toppie.
- The toppie could be made for a kiddo by using finer yarn and a smaller hook.
- Please refer to the sizing chart to establish your square size in relation to your garment before beginning.
- When sizing your garment, don’t get too hung up on exact sizes, remember this is a loose fit so a cm here and there won’t make a huge difference on your overall garment size. Be careful with too many cm’s though, you don’t want to be wearing a potato sack when you’re done – LOL!
- The garment is constructed with a ‘join-as-you-go’ method.
- Sleeve seams, side seams and neckline are stitched.
Materials:
- Any yarn of your choice - I used Elle Classic Wool, 20% wool/80% acrylic blend, DK (100g/300m).
- Colour – Anthracite.
- 5mm hook or hook compatible with yarn used.
- Needle for sewing in ends and joining.
- Stitch markers.
- Measuring tape.
Yarn:
- The pattern is suited to most yarn types but you may need to play around a bit to achieve the correct square size to correspond with your overall garment size.
- Differing yarn thickness, hook size and tension will affect the size of your squares. Remember to factor this in when you are planning the size of your garment.
- Yarn quantities are totally dependent on the size of the garment you make and also on sleeve width and length.
Info:
- In the prelude (beginning pages) of the pattern you will find detailed stitch tutorials, yarn quantities and many many more bits of useful info!
- Throughout the written pattern there are detailed photo tutorials.
