Alex is the knitted version of the waiter’s vest designed in collaboration with Yarn by Simone, with all the codes that go with it: the V-neck, the buttoning, the two points at the bottom of the fronts, and the false pocket flaps. It is knitted entirely in seed stitch, with i-cords finishes. Presented here in black, we imagine it in other colors but always rather neutral, ecru, gray, navy, and it will be worn alone against the skin, or over a shirt or a white t-shirt for a perfect look!

Gauge: 19 sts and 32 rows = 10 cm / 4 inches in seed stitch worked flat on 4,5 mm / US 7 needles with both yarns held together, after blocking.

Chest circumference (fullest point): 85 – 90 – 95 – 100 – 105 – 115 – 125 – 135 – 145 – 155 cm / 33 ½ - 35 ½ - 37 ½ - 39 ¼ - 41 ¼ - 45 ¼ - 49 ¼ - 53 ¼ - 57 ¼ - 61 inches.

To be worn with 5 – 10 cm / 2 – 4 inches of positive ease. To choose which size to fit, measure your chest circumference, add recommended or desired ease and knit the corresponding size in chest circumference (fullest point). (I wear size 3 with 7 cm / 2 ¾ inches of positive ease).

Alex est la version tricot du gilet de garçon de café, élaboré en collaboration avec Yarn by Simone, avec tous les codes qui vont avec, l’encolure V, le boutonnage, les deux pointes terminant le bas des devants, et les fausses pattes de poches. Il est tricoté ici entièrement au point de riz, et toutes les finitions sont en i-cord. Présenté ici en noir, on l’imagine dans d’autres couleurs mais toujours plutôt neutres, écru, gris, marine, et il se portera seul à même la peau, ou bien sur une chemise ou un tee-shirt blanc, pour un look parfait !

Aisance positive recommandée 5 – 10 cm. Pour choisir quelle taille faire, mesurer son tour de poitrine, y ajouter l’aisance recommandée ou souhaitée, et tricoter la taille correspondante en tour de poitrine gilet. (Je porte la taille 3 avec 7 cm d’aisance positive).
