Alberta
Alberta is a ribbed - hip length pullover sweater. It has long raglan sleeves (just below wrist); and a shawl collar.
The rib pattern is consistent throughout the body, collar, and sleeves.
The pattern is knit in pieces from the bottom up; and seamed.
Three Sizes:
Size A: 33-34 inch bust
Size B: 36-37 inch bust
Size C: 39-40 inch bust
Length from top of shoulder:
Size A: 21 inches
Size B: 21.5 inches
Size C: 22 inches
Length of sleeve seam: 17 inches (all sizes)
Note: There is no ease mentioned; but the photo picture implies it is close fit without room for another shirt underneath.
Gauge:
11.5 stitches and 15.5 rows to 2 inches measured over plain smooth fabric (i.e., stockinette stitch) using larger needle (4.5mm)

Yarn: Patons Totem Knitting Wool - All Pure Wool (Pattern designated - details unknown)
Size A: 17 balls
Size B: 18 balls
Size C: 20 balls

In March, 1950 this 8ply/DK yarn was sold in 2 ounce balls. The pattern yardage is based on this calculation:
2 ounce = 56.699 grams / 102.8 yards.
Needles:
1 pair: 3.25mm
1 pair: 4.5mm
(pattern’s needle: No. 10 and No. 7 Patons Beehive or Queen Bee Knitting Needles)
