Adept is a fun, rhythmic stranded colorwork cowl designed to help you practice your skills with a simple, readable chart and no long floats to catch. I used Spincycle Yarns Metamorphic for my main color, a delicious DK weight, environmentally-friendly yarn. This special, wonderfully soft and slightly rustic base is made from recycled 50% mill waste and 50% merino wool, made in extremely small batches. For my contrast color, I chose one of my all-time favorite Spincycle colorways, “Miss Me,” on their Dream State worsted base. Color-shifting yarn really shines in this geometric pattern!
This stranded colorwork cowl is knit seamlessly in the round and calls for two contrasting skeins of DK or worsted weight yarn. I used Spincycle Yarns Dream State as my contrast color and I highly recommend it for added visual interest! One skein each of the suggested yarns is enough to make two cowls!
For your convenience, two versions of the chart are provided, one with a light MC and dark CC and vice versa - use the version that most closely matches your chosen colors, but note that the same chart is used throughout the pattern.
Some testers chose to catch floats of five stitches or longer.
