Absaroka Poncho
by Edie Eckman
Color transforms a simple ripple stitch pattern into something special in this season-spanning wrap. The luscious wool-silk blend yarn is just the beginning.
Two rectangular panels, worked from the bottom up, are grafted together to create a seamless join. The stitch pattern is easily memorized while the positive/negative colorwork on each panel keeps the knitting interesting.
Sew the side edges together, use clasps as shown in the photos, or wear it as a rectangular shawl. Styling possibilities abound!
Pattern includes schematic and knitting charts as well as written instructions.
Gauge: 3 12-st repeats = 6 1⁄2”/16.5 cm in Zig-Zag Color Pattern
Closure: Jul The Latch Leather Closure
