Finished Size 38 (42, 47, 51)“ bust circumference. Jacket shown measures 38”, modeled with 4 1/2” of positive ease.
Yarn Bergère de France Sonora (50% cotton, 50% acrylic; 126 yd 115 m/1 3/4 oz 50 g): #22063 écorce, 12 (14, 17, 20) skeins.
Needles Size 7 (4.5 mm): 24” circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle.
Gauge 1 square = 9 1/2” x 9 1/2” (10 1/2” x 10 1/2”, 11 3/4” x 11 3/4”, 12 3/4” x 12 3/4”).
The Abiquiu Tunic consists of sixteen counterpanes, worked from the outside-in and joined, leaving an opening for the head. A bold picot and muddy khaki color complete the sophisticated peasant aesthetic.
