A Pretty Jumper with the Yoke in a Cable Stitch
From The Examiner:
A PRETTY JUMPER WITH THE YOLK [sic] IN A CABLE STITCH
Cable-stitch is at its most effective in this jumper. A clever little touch is the way the centre cable rib of each sleeve carries on up to the shoulder and round the back or front of the neck; you fasten each of these bands with a button, and sew on two more alongside just for trimming (or you can omit the buttonholes, and fasten the bands with silver buckles).
Materials: 8 oz. Paton’s Super Scotch Fingering, 4-ply (original uses a “mist” shade, blue, No. 1304). A pair No. 10, a pair No. 8 “Beehive’” knitting needles (Old UK). Six buttons.
Measurements: Bust, 34 inches; length from top of shoulder, 20 inches; sleeve seam, including cuff, 19 inches.
Tension: 13 stitches to 2 inches in width; 15 rows to 2 inches in depth.
