A unique hood construction allows working the colorwork in the round while strategically placed increases and decreases create its shape.
Finished Size 34 (37½, 40¼, 43, 45¾, 48¾, 52¼)“ bust circumference, buttoned. Sweater shown measures 37½”, modeled with 4” of ease.
Yarn Blue Sky Alpacas Suri Merino (60% baby suri, 40% merino; 164 yd 150 m
/3½ oz 100 g): #418 dusk (MC), 7 (7, 8, 9, 9, 10, 10) skeins; #416 meadow (A), #420 autumn (B), #415 harvest (C), and #417 seamist (D), 1 skein each.
Needles Size 6 (4 mm): 24” circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Size 5 (3.75 mm): 40” cir and set of dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle; waste yarn; six¾“ buttons.
Gauge 23 sts and 30 rows = 4” in St st on larger needles; 23 sts and 24 rows = 4” in colorwork patt on larger needles.

The two Color C symbols at the top of the double decrease columns should also be double decreases and are worked in Color C. Reading from right to left in the direction of knitting, these would be the first stitch after the second 6-st repeat box, and the last stitch of the row.
