Shirley Paden’s sweater, in ‘Feeling’ by Lana Gatto/Needful Yarns, is marked as much by its detachable capelet collar as it is by its striking zigzag and twisted-lace patterning. The bell sleeves and waist shaping are worked by changing the size of the needles.”

“Standard-fitting round-neck pullover in all over lace and cable patterns with separate double-layered capelet collar.”

• Small (Medium, Large)
• Bust 34 (37, 41)“/86 (94, 104)cm

Materials:

• 17 (19, 21) 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 154yd/141m) of Lana Gatto/Needful Yarns, Inc. Feeling (wool/silk/cashmere) in #12246 magenta
• For Sweater: One pair each sizes 6, 7, 8, and 9 (4, 4.5, 5, and 5.5mm) needles or size to obtain gauge
• For Collar: One each sizes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 (3.25, 3.5, 3.75, 4, 4.5, 5 and 5.5mm) circular needle,e ach 32”/80cm length
• Size E/4 (3.5mm) crochet hook
• Cable needle, stitch marker, stitch holders
• Two 1½“/4cm buttons
• Two ½“/13mm flat buttons
• Six sets of small snap closures

Gauges:

• 55 sts = 8-1/2”/21.5cm and 32 rows = 4”/10cm over chart pattern using size 9 needles
• 55 sts = 7-1/2”/19cm and 32 rows = 4”/10cm over chart pattern using size 7 needles
• Take time to check gauge
• NOTE: A gauge swatch is worked over 57 sts as follows: k1, p1, then work (sts 1-24 of chart 1) twice, then sts 25-29 once, p1, k1. Work chart rows 1-32.

Note: Different sizes needle are used to give subtle side seam shaping to the garment.
