Pattern Description from Vogue Knitting, Fall 2007: “Mari Lynn Patrick imbues a veddy British silhouette with diminishing cables that shape the cape, not to mention a stand-up collar and over-lapping fronts secured by inside and outside buttoning. It’s worked from the lower edge to the neck in three pieces using Classic Elite Yarns’ ‘Duchess.’”
“Standard-fitting cabled cape with slanted front and stand-up collar. Sized for one size and shown on page 148.”
Knitted Measurements:
- Lower edge (closed) 60”/152cm
- Length 20½“/52cm
Materials:
- 11 1¾oz/50g balls (each approx 75yd/69m) of clasic Elite Yarns Duchess (merino/viscose/cashmere/angora/nylon) in #1093 choice cobalt
- One pair each sizes 10 and 10½ (6 and 6.5mm) needles or size to obtain gauge
- Size F/5 (3.75mm) crochet hook
- Cable needles, stitch holders
- Two 1-3/8”/35mm buttons by La Mode, style #38542 in royal
- One 1-1/8”/28mm button by La Mode, style #38541 in royal
