#29 Crocheted Jacket
Pattern description from Vogue Knitting, Spring/Summer 2007: “The pieces of this cardi, stitched in ‘Cable due’ by Filtes King/Needful Yarns, are worked horizontally; later, the mesh-stitch borders are added and silk ribbon woven through them. Crocheted buttons complete the look.”
“Lacy crocheted jacket with silk ribbon woven through eyelets around inside edges, crocheted buttons and 3/4-length sleeves. Designed by James Coviello. Shown in one size, Small, on page 89.”
Knitted Measurements:
- One size, small
- Bust (closed with 1” button band overlap) = approx 35 ½ ”
- Length = approx 23” (from top shoulder to bottom, including edging)
- Upper arm = 9 ½”
Notions:
- 7 balls (each approx 175yd/160m) of Filtes King/Needful Yarns, Inc. Cablé Due (mercerized cotton) in #159 lilac
- Size 5 (1.7 mm) steel crochet hook or size to obtain gauge
- Five 1”’25mm buttons
- 9yd/8.25m of 1”/2.5cm wide green silk ribbon
Notes:
- “Garment is worked sideways.”
- “Chains (ch) counts as sts.”
