#11 Two-Piece Shirt Suit
This is a three-piece shirt suit in tweed. It is pictured on the right. The jacket is lined and the skirt has a zipper. Button holes are machine made.
Materials: Reynold’s Malibu, 40-gram ball, 7 (8-9) White (A) and 14 (15-16) Gold (B). Susan Bates No. 6 and No. 8 knitting needles. No. F aluminum crochet hook. China Silk lining material, 1 yd of press-on pellon, 1 yd 1” grosgrain ribbon, 7” skirt zipper, 4 plastic rings for crocheted buttons, and seam binding. (Note that vintage sized needles and hooks can be different than modern.)
Gauge: No. 8 needles: 5 sts--1”, 6 rows--1”.
Sizes: Directions are for size 12. Changes for sizes 14 and 16 are in parentheses.
