Hi,
I am from Germany and learned to knit and crochet, when I was 5. We were living in the countryside at the edge of a forest, and other children only lived in the village 2 kilometers away. Not much to do for a small girl, with just a baby brother, during long and dark winter afternoons. So both my Grandmothers did their best to entertain me by teaching me how to play around with yarn, while my parents were out to work. I am really grateful for their loving patience and surpreme skills, which they tried to share, crafting has accompanied me ever since.

I am an adventurous knitter, so I always tend to have far too many WIPs and a huge stash, where I can go and pick yarn for experiments any time.

I wouldn’t call myself a designer - in the end, I am just a trained scientist with a yarn bee in my bonnet.
I feel the need to follow my own path of doing things - and every now and then I think it is fun to write down, which way I took.
It makes me happy to share my delight in an interesting and wearable result.
