Ikat Collection Firefly

This yarn is hand-dyed in Maine using an ancient Indonesian technique called Ikat, which means “to tie”. Each skein is wrapped by hand, then carefully dipped into pots of low impact synthetic dyes. When the wraps are removed, the striking contrast of the resist marks is left behind.
Once knit, the resist marks create patterns of scattered white stitches, that remind us of fireflies against a night sky.
