Knitting: Cowl
If you want a project that is fun to knit and is different from other projects you have made, this cowl is just the thing. Using an inventive cast-on, the colors radiate from the middle, creating the same color progression above and below the center. The result is a beautiful mobius cowl that adds an element of style to whatever you are wearing.
Knitting: Cowl
The cowl begins with the Alternative Mobius Cast-on. Stitches from the cast on are worked first above then below the center cast-on round. One full round includes working all these stitches and concludes when the initial beg-of-rnd marker is reached. The finished cowl has a gentle twist that makes it easy to wear.
Knitting: Scarf
This simple textured scarf, with a variety of knit-and-purl stitch patterns, is a great project for a beginner, or for anyone looking for an easy TV-knitting project.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat starts with an extra wide ribbing that is doubled when wearing to keep your ears extra warm. The slip-stitch pattern is easy to remember and creates a lovely stained glass effect. One skein of each of two colors is all you need.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
The Icelandic landscape is abundant with rifts, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates of the earth’s crust that form the island are pulling apart. The Rift hat is a tribute to these breathtaking cracks in the earth.
