Windmill Beret in Worsted
by Sami Kaplan
This beret is a classic pattern that is a charming addition to
many different ensembles. It is a great way to use up yarn
leftover from another project and to top off any hand-knitted
sweater. This pattern uses worsted weight yarn and is one of
six patterns in the Windmill Beret E-Book (coming soon).
It has recently been rewritten to include 5 sizes from Newborn to Adult.
Skills used are knitting in the round, increasing and SSK. It is knit on size 7 and 9 16” circulars or DPNs, and uses size 9 DPNs for the crown decreases.
Sizes Newborn (Baby, Toddler, Child, Adult)
Head circumference: 14 (16, 18, 20, 22)”
Finished measurement: 12 (14, 16, 18, 20)”
Yardage 75 (100, 115, 150, 185) yds.
