Widdershins Shawl
Find the yarn on Loveknitting.com!
Be enchanted by Sachiko Burgin’s Widdershins Shawl with its deep colorwork border of sun, moon and stars illuminated in Russet against a background of Indigo. This knit begins with a garter tab and works outwards through sections of solid knitting and lace until you reach the colorwork, and then bordered with a picot bind off.
CHART HELP
II’ve had a few questions regarding Chart A, please review the following note:
When you come to the part “BEGIN LACE SECTION”, you will work Row 1 of chart A like this:
K3, SM, (skip grey stitches), M1R, k1, {yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, yo, k3} rep this until 5 sts before the centre marker (it’s the instructions in the red box of chart), then Yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, yo, K1, yo. You are at the marker before the centre stitch. Work the rest of the row as established by these instructions.
Always skip over the grey stitches- the grey area is actually not stitches. It’s just there to fill in the excess space when making the shape of the chart.
