♫ The Music ♫
The Humours of Westmeath is a jaunty slip jig (Irish dancing music) whose roots are lost in the tunes of time. Like so many traditional melodies, this one too is known by many names … A Kiss In The Furz, A Blast Of Wind, and Drops Of Spring Water to name a few … the last of which perfectly reflects the stitch pattern in these socks. There’s nothing like a pair of amazingly colorful socks to set your toes a-tapping at any ceilidh!

A tiny touch of eyelets and cables come together in pleasant harmony in these toe-up, mid-calf socks where the instep and leg pattern stitch creates visions of tiny, interlaced petals or raindrops. Worked from the toe up, with a modified spiral toe, the short-row heel cap means no picking up stitches. The leg finishes with a simple 1x1 Rib and a stretchy bind off. This pattern is both charted and written out.

This pattern lists imperial measurements only.
