Victoria and Josephine
Queen Victoria and Empress Josephine donned some gorgeous bold shapes and really put the cameo to work…with this in mind, I have designed a full square shawl (or table linen). It is a relatively easy knit, utilizing basic sts, beginning from the center out. There are definite lace shapes and resting places of stockinette to create a truly regal piece! Pop on your tiara and come join the bunnymuff group ….
Note- one test knitter using 4mm needles found she needed 4 balls of Knit Picks Curio
beads: approximately 2700 6/0 or 8/0 beads, optional
You may knit this shawl in any lace weight yarn or crochet thread, such as Curio by Knit Picks (there are some lovely colours to choose from; I knit mine in Lichen). I recommend a solid, light tonal, or ombre for this design.
Since the shawl is knit in the round, there will be increases and decreases made on each consecutive row, in some sections.
