Toasty Toes
These socks, made with qiviut-blend sock yarn from Arctic Qiviut are the softest, warmest things that have ever touched my feet. With temperatures not rising above freezing for the last week here in Vermont, I was very tempted to start wearing them before I took photos or wove in the ends!
The socks are knitted toe-up with a Bosnian toe and a German double-stitch short row heel. The lace stitch ribbing gives elasticity and adds interest to the texture and the movement of the colors in this hand-painted yarn.
Roll the yarn into 2 equal balls if making each sock separately, or work from the inside and outside ends if working two socks at once.
