Spirotaenia Condensata

Spirotaenia Condensata is a triangle shawl worked sideways featuring lace and garter stitch.
This pattern has been inspired by the illustration of the species Spirotaenia condensata (Slide #24 Desmidiea, No. 9) in Ernst Haeckel’s book Kunstformen der Natur.
It is part of the Knitting Art Forms of Nature project.
Finished Size
Size is adjustable. Sample shown measures 55 x 31 in (140 x 80 cm) after blocking.
