Sliding SKYP Socks
I love the texture of the SKYP (Sl1, K1, YO, PSSO) stitch, I needed to knit some “man” socks for my dad, and the March Sock Knitters Anonymous Challenge was Cables. I put them all together for these unisex socks, suitable for both men and women. Four sizes (S, M, L, & XL) are charted so you can make these socks for almost anyone.
The SKYP stitch slides down the ribbing creating a stitch pattern that is easily memorized for a traveling project. The socks are mirrored for added interest.
I used the Fish Lips Kiss Heel for my dad’s brown socks, and a ribbed, slip-stitch heel flap for the more colorful socks for my nephew.
Yardage approx. 360 (380, 400, 420) yds
