Sethera is a classic “grandpa-style” cardigan with lots of modern twists. The colorful stitch motif, which is worked flat, offers an endless array of choices in Shelter yarn with its rich, varied palette. Made with woolen-spun 100% Targhee-Columbia wool, Shelter creates a rugged yet soft fabric that knits up fast while staying lightweight and bouncy. With minimal shaping and slim dropped sleeves, Sethera is an ideal layering piece.
Please note: the stitch patterns for this garment are charted only.
Construction
- The body is worked flat to the armholes, then divided to work fronts and back separately. The shoulders are joined with an exposed Joinery Bind Off. The sleeves are worked flat. Stitches are picked up along body and collar for the front edges and neckband.
- A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
