Sea Hedgehog Hat
20% off with code Hedgehog until end of 27th April 2025 Edinburgh time
Several people told me that the hat looked like a sea urchin, but that name has been used many times before. Thanks to one of my testers who came up with the suggestion of Sea Hedgehog. This is an old name for a sea urchin, the word urchin being derived from the Latin for hedgehog.
This is a fun to knit hat, playing with colours in a simple ribbed design.
It is stretchy and meant to be worn with 2-4”/5-10 cm of negative ease to fit snugly, sitting just above the bottom of the earlobes.
You will need 50-130 yards DK weight yarn for the main colour and 15-30 yards in each of two contrast colours. You could easily use more contrast colours if you wanted for a real scrap buster.
Circumference ins./cm: 14.5/36.25, 16/40, 17.5/43.75, 19/47.5, 20.5/51.25, 21.75/54.5
